Our History Is In Racing
We're racers who build racing engines...so we understand what's needed to win! We've raced at National Events as well as local tracks for years, and we even won our class at the 1985 U.S. Nationals. We're not bragging, we just want you to know that we understand what you're looking for and want to assure you that we treat every engine like it's for our own car!
For over 30 years we've been building performance engines for NHRA and IHRA sanctioned events, but also for every day hot rod and street racing enthusiasts. We are hands-on with every aspect of the project and perform ALL THE WORK from our complete, in-house machine shop to ensure top-notch quality and craftsmanship.
It's A Family Business
Gardener Competition Engines was founded by Jeff Gardner, an avid racer and car enthusiast. Jeff has been building engines for over 30 years and has built GCE into a family business. Having grown up in the shop, his sons are now actively involved with the business and applying everything they've learned from their dad. When you do business with Gardener Competition Engines, you're working with a family of racers who have competition engines in their blood!
However, our success in competition engines has allowed us to expand our services to many other types of engines requiring machine work, including engines for classic cars, grocery getters and even farming and collectible tractors! So if you have an engine that needs machine work, but isn't considered a performance engine, give us a call anyway.
